Allocation procedure

The Port does not sell its land, but grants concessions to its plots
The cost of a concession varies depending on several parameters:

FEE

• Whether or not the area is equipped (e.g. quay, concourse, slabs, etc.)
• Location (within or outside the agglomeration)

TOLL

• Tonnages handled (by truck, train or boat)

Become a concessionaire

1 – Submit an application to the Board of Directors of the Autonomous Port of Charleroi

Your letter or email must include:

1. Company’s legal form
2. Type of intended activity + interest in the waterway + anticipated annual tonnage
3. Area of land and desired location
4. Duration of the contract (maximum 30 years)

2 – Obtain the necessary authorisations

Upstream of the contract, check with the competent authorities about the formalities associated with establishment of the business.
